Hiking 5 stages
A selection of five stages along the Camí de Cavalls that will show you some of the most iconic sections of this path, as well as some of the most stunning landscapes in Menorca. The first three stages run along the north of the island and the last two along the south, passing by the Natural Park of s’Albufera des Grau, the area of Cap de Cavalleria and virgin beaches as Macarella, among others. PROGRAMME
Night before
- Overnight stay in Maó before the first stage.
Stage 1. Sa Mesquida – Favàritx: 15 km | 320 m
- Walk along a multitude of small coves and through the s’Albufera des Grau Natural Park, one of Menorca’s most important natural areas.
- Transfer to the start of the stage from Maó.
- Transfer from the end of the stage and overnight stay in Ferreries or Ses Salines de Fornells, depending on the time of year.
Stage 2. Ses Salines de Fornells – Binimel·là: 10.9 km | 160 m
- Follow the northern coastline along one of the most spectacular sections of the Camí de Cavalls. You’ll pass Macar Gran and Cavalleria, among others.
- Transfer to the start of the stage from Ferreries, depending on the time of year.
- Transfer from the end of the stage and overnight stay in Ferreries.
Stage 3. Camí des Alocs – Cala Morell: 17 km | 278 m
- Unspoilt coves, woodland areas, farmland and cliffs. A stage with striking landscape contrasts, ending at the Cala Morell Necropolis.
- Transfer to the start of the stage from Ferreries.
- Transfer from the end of the stage and overnight stay in Ciutadella.
Stage 4. Cap d’Artrutx – Cala Galdana: 17.3 km | 161 m
- The first stage along the south will take you past coves as iconic as Son Saura, Cala en Turqueta and Macarella.
- Transfer to the start of the stage from Ciutadella.
- Overnight stay in Cala Galdana, or transfer from the end of the stage and overnight stay in Ferreries, depending on the time of year.
Stage 5. Cala Galdana – Son Bou: 17.2 km | 236 m
- Woods, ravines and white-sand coves. This stage lets you enjoy southern Menorca at its very best.
- Transfer to the start of the stage from Ferreries, depending on the time of year.
- Transfer from the end of the stage and overnight stay in Maó.
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
